Corporate Support Committee Meeting

"That the agenda for the May 6, 2025 Corporate Support Committee be approved."

"That the Corporate Support Committee receive the correspondence from the following municipalities regarding 'Expansion of Strong Mayors Powers' for information:  Town of Amherstburg  Town of Aylmer  Town of Kingsville  Township of Rideau Lakes; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the correspondence for information."

"That the Corporate Support Committee receive the correspondence from the Eastern Ontario Wardens' Caucus regarding 'April 2025 Newsletter' for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the correspondence for information."

"That the Corporate Support Committee receive the Quarter 1, 2025 Financial Analyses of the Communications, Information Technology, Legal Services and Corporate Services Departments for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the Q1 Financial Analyses for information."

"That the Corporate Support Committee receive the presentation regarding the 'Communications Department Quarter 1, 2025 Update' for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the PowerPoint presentation for information."

“That the Corporate Support Committee receive Report 2025-086 ‘Unfinished Council Business Update’ for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this report for information.”

“That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered Report 2025- 087 'Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Delegation Requests', recommend that County Council direct staff to request the following Ministerial delegations at the 2025 Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference (AMO):  Joint delegation with member municipalities regarding Emergency Detour Routes (EDR);  Specific infrastructure request – funding for Campbellford Bridge;  Joint delegation with Cobourg on Court Security & Prisoner Transportation Funding Shortfall; and Further That Committee recommend that County Council identify this item for separate discussion at the May 21, 2025 County Council meeting.”

“That the Corporate Support Committee recommend that County Council proclaim the following list of proclamations at the May 21, 2025 County Council meeting:  'National AccessAbility Week' - May 25 - May 31, 2025  'National Indigenous History Month - June 2025 and National Indigenous Peoples Day' - June 21, 2025  'Pride Month' - June 2025."

“That the Corporate Support Committee approve adding a verbal discussion regarding ‘Electronic Participation of Members at Committee / Council Meetings’ to the May 6, 2025 Corporate Support Committee meeting agenda under ‘Other Matters Considered by Committee’.”

“That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered the verbal discussion regarding ‘Electronic Participation of Members at Committee / Council Meetings’, recommend that County Council direct staff to bring forward a report to a future Committee / Council meeting with options for increased flexibility for Members’ electronic participation at hybrid Committee / Council meetings.”
