Community Health Committee Meeting

"That the agenda for the July 31, 2023 Community Health Committee be approved."

"That the Community Health Committee receive the presentation and supporting documents regarding 'Climate Change and Health at HKPR' for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the PowerPoint presentation and supporting documents for information."

"That the Community Health Committee, having considered correspondence from the City of Pickering regarding 'Use of Long Term Care Funding to Support Community Care Services', recommend that County Council support this correspondence; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to send a copy of this resolution to the Honourable Paul Calandra (Minister of Long-Term Care), the Honourable Peter Bethlenfalvy (Minister of Finance), the Honourable David Piccini (Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and MPP for Northumberland - Peterborough South), the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO), and all Ontario Municipalities."

"That the Community Health Committee, having considered correspondence from the Municipality of Port Hope regarding 'Public Health and Opioid Overdose Crisis - Renewal of a Drug Strategy', recommend that County Council support this correspondence; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to send a copy of this resolution to the Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland Drug Strategy, and Northumberland County's 7 Member Municipalities; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council invite Dr. Bocking, Medical Officer of Health to a future County Council meeting to provide an update.”

"That the Community Health Committee receive the correspondence from the Municipality of Wawa regarding 'Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) Coverage for Chronic Pain Treatments' for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this correspondence for information."
