That the Public Works Committee receive the petition regarding the Thompson Bridge for information, noting that a staff report regarding the Environmental Assessment for the Thompson Bridge will be brought forward to the November 1, 2021 Public Works Committee Meeting; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the petition for information."

That the Public Works Committee receive the correspondence from the City of Port Colborne, regarding its support for the City of Stratford’s resolution regarding 'Phase Out of Ontario's Gas Plants'; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the correspondence for information."

That the Public Works Committee, having considered Report 2021-167 ‘Seymour Community Recycling Centre - Weigh Scale Replacement Tender Award’, note that the successful proponent is Rose Scale Ltd., at a price of $89,880 (plus tax); and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council award the contract to Rose Scale Ltd.; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council approve surplus MRF revenues and savings in landfill leachate management costs be used to make up the short fall between the approved budget and the quoted price to replace the existing weigh scale at the Seymour Community Recycling Centre; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council authorize any insufficient funds available from the projected surplus in MRF revenues and projected savings in landfill leachate management costs, be made up from the Waste Services Divisions Capital Reserves.”
