Corporate Support Committee Meeting

"That the agenda for the October 2, 2025 Corporate Support Committee be approved."

"That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered correspondence from the Town of Grimsby and Township of West Lincoln regarding 'Elect Respect Campaign', recommend that County Council support the correspondence and direct staff to send a copy of this resolution to Philip Lawrence (MP for Northumberland-Clarke), Honourable David Piccini (Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development and MPP for Northumberland-Peterborough South), Association of Municipalities of Ontario, Ontario’s Big City Mayors, Federation of Canadian Municipalities, Eastern Ontario Wardens' Caucus (EOWC), and Northumberland County’s 7 Member Municipalities."

“That the Corporate Support Committee, receive the presentation regarding 'Natural Heritage 2025 Activity Update' for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the PowerPoint presentation for information."

“That the Corporate Support Committee, receive the presentation regarding 'Emergency Management in Northumberland County' for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the PowerPoint presentation for information."

“That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered Report 2025- 206 ‘New and Updated Health and Safety Policies’, recommend that County Council adopt the following updated policies at the October 15, 2025 County Council meeting:  HS 3.1 Joint Health and Safety Committees;  HS 13.1 Personal Protective Equipment;  HS 15.4 Ladders; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council adopt the following new policies at the October 15, 2025 County Council meeting:  HS 11.4 Eyewash Stations and Emergency Showers;  HS 13.4 Protective Headwear;  HS 13.6 Foot Protection;  HS 18.2 Respectful Conduct; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to update the formal Health and Safety policy and procedure manual."

“That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered Report 2025- 207 ‘Council Remuneration Review’, recommend that County Council provide direction to staff regarding any changes to Members’ remuneration and/or expenses for the 2026-2030 Term of Council; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to bring forward any required amendments to By-law 2020-11 being a ‘By- law to Provide for the Remuneration and Expenses of County Council Members and Repeal By-law 2019-27’ to a future Committee / Council meeting for Council’s consideration; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council identify this item for separate discussion at the October 15, 2025 County Council meeting.”

"That the Corporate Support Committee recommend that County Council proclaim November 13 to 19, 2025 as ‘Transgender Awareness Week' in Northumberland County, at the October 15, 2025 County Council meeting."
