Corporate Support Committee Meeting

"That the agenda for the March 3, 2026 Corporate Support Committee be approved."

"That the Corporate Support Committee receive the correspondence from the following individuals regarding 'Media Release - Statement by County Warden Bob Crate and Acting CAO Glenn Dees' for information;  Carol Leighton  Jennifer Sills  Joanne and Gord Edmunds  Lois-Anne Johns  Margaret Taylor  Ryan O'Neil  Valerie Rhodes and; Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this correspondence for information."

“That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered Report 2026- 042 ‘Council Remuneration Review – Update’, recommend that County Council direct staff to bring forward amendments to By-law 2020-11 being a ‘By-law to Provide for the Remuneration and Expenses of County Council Members and Repeal By-law 2019-27’ to a future 2026 Committee / Council meeting for Council’s consideration, in order to implement the below additional changes to Council remuneration and expenses for the 2026-2030 Term of Council:  That per diem payments for conferences reflect the same half-day / whole day payment rates set for Standing Committee and ad hoc / advisory group meetings of $123.30/half day and $252.31/whole day. Further that the per diem payment be included in the conference maximum expense.  That the conference reimbursement maximum be increased to $5,439 annually to include per diem expenses and adjust for inflation year over year.  Retirement Savings o Remain status quo with no option for retirement savings  Benefits o Remain status quo with no option for benefits Further That the Committee recommend that County Council identify this item for separate discussion at the April 15, 2026 County Council meeting.”

"That the Corporate Support Committee recommend that County Council proclaim April 6-10, 2026 as ‘Archives Awareness Week ' in Northumberland County, at the March 18, 2026 County Council meeting."
