Corporate Support Committee Meeting

That the agenda for the August 2, 2022 Corporate Support Committee be approved."

Crate " That the Corporate Services Committee receive the correspondence from the Township of Greater Madawaska and Tay Valley Township regarding 'Annual Emergency Exercise Exemption' for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the correspondence for information."

Crate " That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered the correspondence from the Municipality of Brighton, Town of Cobourg, County of Hastings, and Municipality of Shuniah regarding 'Expanding Amber Alert System', recommend that County Council support the correspondence; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to send a copy of the resolution to the Honourable Doug Ford (Premier of Ontario), the Honourable Michael Kernzer (Solicitor General), Commissioner Thomas Carrique (Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police), the Honourable David Piccini (Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and MPP for Northumberland—Peterborough South), MP Philip Lawrence (Northumberland—Peterborough South), the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, and to all municipalities in Ontario."

That the Corporate Services Committee, having considered the correspondence from the Municipality of Shuniah regarding 'Former Mohawk Institute Residential School Document Release', recommend that County Council direct staff to take the necessary actions to advise that Northumberland County support the resolution from the Municipality of Shuniah; and Further That the Committee recommend that Council direct staff to advise all necessary Federal representatives and MP Philip Lawrence, as well as advise MPP David Piccini, and all Ontario Municipalities."

That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered Report 2022-115 ‘Adoption of the Northumberland Emergency Management Plan 2022’, recommend that County Council adopt the ‘Northumberland County Emergency Management Plan 2022’ by by-law at the August 18, 2022 County Council meeting.”

Crate “ That the Corporate Support Committee receive Report 2022-116 ‘Initiating the People Plan’ for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this report for information.”

Crate " That the Corporate Support Committee receive the Corporate Support Committee Terms of Reference for information; and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the Corporate Support Committee Terms of Reference for information."

That this Committee proceed with the next portion of the meeting being closed to the public at 9:28 a.m.; and Further That the meeting is closed to the public as permitted under the Municipal Act Section 239.(2.k) in order to address confidential negotiations involving the Northumberland County Archives and Museum, and that Lisa Ainsworth, Abigail Miller, Nancy MacDonald, Maddison Ellis, and Cheryl Sanders remain present."

That this Committee rise from Closed Session at 9:51 a.m.; and Further That the confidential resolution moved in Closed Session regarding confidential negotiations involving the Northumberland County Archives and Museum is hereby
